Missing upper tooth

Implant in the upper jaw - specifics and solutions.

About this service

The upper jaw has a particular anatomical challenge - the sinus and softer bone. Premium implant systems and, where needed, sinus lift enable a lasting solution. In the aesthetic zone (front), precise implant placement is critical because even a millimetre affects the final crown.

Step by step

How the procedure works

  1. CBCT scan and assessment of bone/sinus.
  2. Sinus lift or augmentation if bone is low.
  3. Implant placement under local anaesthesia.
  4. Temporary restoration (composite or Maryland bridge) during osseointegration.
  5. Osseointegration period of 8-12 weeks.
  6. Impression and final crown from CAD-CAM lab.

When it is needed

Materials & technology

Top-tier Alpha Bio implant system with excellent osseointegration. Premium zirconia crowns for the aesthetic zone.

Frequently asked questions

Can the implant go in immediately after extraction?
In many cases yes - "immediate placement". Decision based on CBCT and bone condition.
What if I do not have enough bone due to the sinus?
A sinus lift (internal or lateral) elevates the sinus membrane and creates room for the implant.
How long is the whole process?
From consultation to final crown - typically 4-6 months. With All-on-4 solutions, often much shorter.
